ABOUT US

Hello and welcome to Bellvalley Beagles — we’re Gareth and Laura, and together we run Bellvalley from our family farm in Carmarthenshire, South West Wales.
Bellvalley was founded in 2000. Dogs have always been a huge part of family life, and that experience has been passed down through generations.
We have been involved in showing dogs for over 25 years and still very much enjoy the excitement of preparing and presenting our dogs in the show ring. Gareth began showing at a young age and has had some wonderful success over the years, including achieving a top placing at Crufts and gaining a Stud Book number with his much-loved Cocker Spaniel, Dil.
Today, our focus remains on breeding quality Beagles with sound temperament and correct type, with health and welfare always at the forefront. All of our dogs are Kennel Club registered, with 5 generation pedigrees, and all parents are fully health tested.
Our dogs are very much part of our daily lives here on the farm. They enjoy plenty of exercise, freedom, and time outdoors, alongside us as we go about day-to-day life. Alongside showing, we also enjoy activities such as mantrailing and scent work with our dogs, which they thoroughly enjoy and which help to keep them mentally stimulated — as well as plenty of beach walks, which are a firm favourite.
We place a strong emphasis on early socialisation, routine, and giving our puppies the very best start in life. Puppies are raised in a busy, hands-on environment and are introduced to a variety of everyday sights, sounds, and experiences from an early age. We begin basic training foundations early on, including basic clicker training, recall work, and positive handling, helping to set them up for a smooth transition into their new homes.
Matching each puppy to the right home is extremely important to us. We take time to get to know our prospective owners and carefully consider lifestyle, experience, and expectations to ensure the best possible fit. We focus on making the right match for both puppy and family.
We are always here for ongoing support and advice, and many of our puppies go on to remain in close contact with us throughout their lives, which is something we really value.
Thank you for taking the time to learn a little more about us.
