ABOUT US
Above Laura taking the dogs out up around our top fields. All our dogs go out for daily walks around the farm off lead for a good stretch of their legs.
Hello and Croeso i (welcome to) the Bellvalley Beagles website. Owned and loved by Gareth & Laura Evans. Bellvalley was founded in 2000 by Wendy Evans, Gareth's mum. The name Bellvalley is derived from the Welsh name of our home.
We were the first Puppy Culture breeders of Beagles in the world, we are also members of the Kennel Club's Assured Breeder Scheme, the Smart Pup Reputable Breeder Scheme, The Beagle Club, The Beagle Association, Beagle Welfare and are on the committee of The Welsh Beagle Club.
Although Wendy has now retired, she continues to train dogs and their owners for the Kennel Club Good Citizen Awards, Scent work and more at her local club ClickStart Dog Training. Laura often takes the Beagles along for their Puppy Foundation Training and Ringcraft practice.

We have been showing dogs as a family for over 25 years and all love the excitement of getting our dogs fit and trained for the show ring.
Gareth started showing dogs at the age of 6 and has gone on to have some great times showing Dil (Kaniboo Golden Knight of Bellvalley sh CM), his much loved Cocker Spaniel dog. Together they achieved a very good 5th at Crufts, also going on to get his stud book number.
Sadly our old boy Dil passed away, but he will not be forgotten.
Nowadays, Gareth has achieved some of the highest placings and awards in the show ring, including Best Beagle Puppy at Crufts two years in a row! His much loved dog the late Bellvalley Stella, won Best of Breed gaining her Kennel Club Challenge Certificate in 2014.
In 2018 Riley (CH Bellvalley Teen Spirit) became a Champion. More recently, Gareth has stepped into the world of Parson Russell Terriers and has been awarded Top Parson Russell Terrier Puppy 2022 with Bellvalley's Kissed By Fire.
Laura started showing more seriously in 2022 after the pandemic and has had some high placings herself including being awared Best Puppy, a 3rd and 4th place at Crufts 2023 and gained Bellvalley Calypso's stud book number in April 2023.
We live in the heart of Carmarthenshire countryside on our family run farm where we aim to be as self sufficient as possible with our milking cows, a few sheep, pigs, chickens and our horses.
Like most working family farms, we all have a part to play to ensure the smooth running of things, which includes the most vital members of the team who we could not do without - our working collies! To see more of our beautiful farm click on the 'Our Farm' button at the bottom of the page.
Please feel free to contact us for more info on living with a Beagle, then we can see if a Beagle is the right breed for you.
